Hi @mrstraightface
-Don't know the reason but can only suggest that you purchase the [link|https://www.servicemanuals.net/en/ge-gwe19jylfffs-tech-sheets-only|service manual] for the refrigerator and run the diagnostic tests and check if you can make the noise happen when running a test.

I realize that the refrigerator model linked is not the same but the two models use the same service manual i.e. GE mini manual part # 31-1000534. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a free download online. Perhaps verify with the seller what the manual's part number is before purchasing
If you do find the problem and it is a faulty part, here's a [link|https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/3apgagua84-000432/ge-gwe19jylgffs-bottom-mount-refrigerator-parts|parts list] that is useful. Find the required part and then search online for the ''part number only'' to find suppliers that suit you best.
If you determine that the problem is related to a sealed system component i.e. compressor, condenser, evaporator unit, filter dryer associated piping etc, consult the warranty section of the user manual for the refrigerator as with some models there's a longer warranty period for sealed section components than for other parts in the refrigerator, so it still may be covered by the warranty.
