For people who have swapped the cells, do they charge and work as expected? I've tried to re-cell some laptop batteries and never got the charge level to work right again, the BMS seemed stuck on the old broken capacity.
Also has anyone has tried putting 14500 LiIon batteries in an FBA-23 case? The FNB-80Li is rated 1500mAh, and 14500s would be about 1000mAh but it would only cost about $50 for the FBA-23 and two cells. Additional cells are about $7/pr. It seems like this would give you full power, since the radio is only using the voltage to determine the power source.
