Christina, the Nano is a bit of a PITA to work on. What you need to do, to get it working again, is to disassemble it using [guide|3603|this guide.] Clean it according to [http://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Electronics_Water_Damage|this guide.] Replace the battery after cleaning it. The battery is a bit hard to find and a bit pricey [http://www.repairsuniverse.com/ipod-nano-6th-generation-battery-replacement.html|but available here.] Rice is a great first aid to pull some of the water out, but it will NOT prevent corrosion, nor will it displace water that accumulates under IC's or even within a case. As for if it is even worth it, depends on how handy you are and if there is any sentimental value attached to it. Hope this helps, good luck.
