Old thread so apologies, but this is the first result for searching if replacing a screen with Ion-X glass for a screen with Sapphire Crystal glass is possible, and there isn’t much on that topic
I wanted to pitch in and say I just did for my Series 4 watch that originally had Ion-X glass. I purchased a sapphire crystal screen here from iFixit (# IF409-001-2) and it works just fine.
