Let us know if this made a different. If so, you know the issue is somewhere in the software.
You have not told us what you have checked. The no video issue can be related to a bad backlight inverter circuitry. A simple check for that would be to darken the room and turn the computer. Then use a flashlight and angle the light at the screen on different areas. If you make out shapes or can see part of your desktop, it is your backlight that has failed. Could be the backlight array in the LCD but could also be the connector, or motherboard components.
It could also be a bad LCD. Attach an external monitor and see if that displays anything. If it does, you know you have a bad LCD and need to replace it.
The only other thing that comes to mind right now is a potential issue with the computer not finding an OS due to a failed HDD or BIOS issue which do not allow the computer to boot into an OS, but we need to rule the first few things out. Narrow it down and let us know what you find out.
