@jevaughnhenry if cleaning and further drying do not clear up the error, consider a failed sensor on the charging board. Replacing it should resolve this issue. Just make sure you purchase the board for the right version SM-G990U, SM-G990U1, SM-G990W
While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
