Hello there,

I had the the same issue with older iMac. The issue was a faulty graphic card. I replaced mine with working second hand and got it working perfectly fine. I am not sure if the case will be the same with you but it is some direction point. If you have some friend with the same model to slap the cards just to test and confirm if this is the problem.
