Why is my voice muffled on calls?

I have a moto g22. I have tried four different headphones or with my phones attached and yet my voice is muffled. When I use the speaker phone my voice is muffled.

However when I use the exact same equipment and I send a voice note on WhatsApp my voice is completely clear...

I've not moved position, I've not changed headsets, WTF is going on!
