@sbreal it is possible that your AC adapter is short circuiting your motherboard. Replace the AC adapter first. Then check your DC in jack. Make sure that it is clean and has no broken pins or solder connections. After that, it is most likely an issues of the power circuit on your motherboard. That would require you to get the schematics for that motherboard. and test the components.
