Trackpad issue. Pointer jittering /moving all around the place .

It's been about a month since when my macbook (MacBook Air early 2018) trackpad started giving me problem.
I used to take my laptop into the bathroom and one day maybe while I was changing the song some water from my finger went into the trackpad .
I used to keep it at a safe distance far apart and also keep my underwear on top of the keyboard and mouse so accidental water splash don't go inside it .
Firstly the problem that came was that mid part of the trackpad (almost half and inch ) stoped working the top and bottom part were absolutely fine ( little bit of the bottom part don't work ).
In the initial phase the trackpad would fully work fine for about 30 sec then the mid part (horizontal) would go dead. But after some time the problem became permanent
I thought about fixing it but then got used to working along my problem.
Then yesterday I was again in the bathroom watching bad website 😞 and THEN my trackpad went crazy I thought it was the website so after my business I closed the website .
When I start the Mac it is fine for about 3 sec then it starts jittering and going all over the place .
I don't know what to do , if I should reboot my macbook or replace the trackpad.
Please help me .
