home button ribbon cable came disconnected after screen removal

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

-I tried to remove the screen slowly as suggested, but it popped off suddenly and the end of the ribbon cable attached to the home button appeared to have detached completely. I feel fairly confident I completed the rest of the battery replacement and reassembly correctly, but now I get no response from plugging in or pressing and holding the home and sleep/wake buttons in any combination.

Would that detached ribbon cable explain this? Whether or it does or not, what should I do now?
