The charging port repair on I pads is a difficult job that without proper repair knowledge and skill can be difficult and risky. You may want to take it to a repair shop other than Apple or try to clean the charging port with IPA or BW 100 and clean out any possible dirt and/or debris with tweezers, nylon tipped preferably.
