I just removed my red toggle switch from my Windtunnel 2, which stopped operating. Low and behold, no continuity in the on or off position. It may also be related to the flash of light I saw at the switch when I tried to start it as usual. Don't try if you aren't sure what I am describing, but I intend to wire it with a heavy gauge copper wire and use the outlet for the time being as the on-off switch until I can find a replacement. (Guests are coming over tomorrow and it's late:)

Update: Removed the rubber insulation from both (detached) leads into the switch. Sandwiched them together and held in place with a small, plastic clamp. Plugged in, and ran for 30 seconds. Unplugged, checked for heat or smell, none. Plugged in and ran for 2 minutes. Still functioning properly. I'll find a replacement switch tomorrow, but I'm not paying a professional $200 to replace a crappy switch. Don't try at home.
