Apple Service center says Series 7 due for complete replacement

So they’re basically charging me for a whole new apple watch. They just said the whole thing was broken. Is there a way i can fix it myself when im not sure which part to work on? When i took it in it looked like the screen was what was busted. I could still see ghosts of images on it but i would get haptic feedback when holding down the non-crown button. It broke down THE day of the warranty expiry. :(
