The only setting that could affect the mic would be the mute button in whatever phone app you are using. [br]

You could try using Bluetooh earbuds and if you don't have any problem with your mic while using those then yes the jack is the likely culprit. [br]

Check the jack to make sure there's no buildup of lint or dust which could be impeding the jack from making a connecting with the mic line. If it looks clean then a jack replacement might be in order. Personally I would do a soft reset first and if that doesn't work do a hard reset (after backing up your date first of course) to see if that fixes the issue.
