If you got to clean it, spray the proper cleaning fluid on a micro-fibre clothes and use that to wipe. This looks like you have water stains from within the display assembly. Possibly on one of the diffuser sheets. You need to be careful so that your driver boards do not start to corrode or shorten out from any fluid you spray on the screen. It seeps into the panel from between the bezel and the display. I would suggest you leave it since tearing a panel apart has it's own risks of causing more damage.
