@francisamoah before doing anything else, get the right charger and stick with it. To see if you an get your charging performance back, I suggest that at first you replace the battery. It is possible that there are issues with the battery control board based on the charging issues. Also, check the ribbon cable coming from the daughter board to the main board. While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
