Well, this sucks. I have found NO answers for what’s happening to my kindle. Recently, we opened it up and ripped the screen cable but fixed that. Now, my power slider does not work! When I slide it, there is no light but it was working early yesterday, but then just stopped. I really don’t want to open up the kindle as I’m worried that I might damage the screen cable AGAIN. It was brought brand new when it was released (my parents gave it to me) so I think that’s why. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. As for this comment, try getting a new battery and/or getting a new charging port (if you can). Also try checking the connections inside but if you can’t get it to work, I don’t know what to do next.
