keys (especially around wasd) dont work after replacing the battery

So yesterday i replaced my old battery with a new one it worked fine for the first day,[br]
today some of the keys especially on the left side of the keyboard sometimes just stop working.[br]
restart doesn't fix this, switching back to the new battery does fix it but that is not an option since its pretty much dead.[br]
I'd love to know if i can fix this issue since i'm not sure if i can get a refund on the new battery.[br]
