It sounds like you most likely have a damaged USB-C port. Since there's just the one port on this model it can be pretty frustrating when they fail. I'd recommend following [guide|104463|this guide|new_window=true] to remove the port and inspect the pins for damage. If the pins are damaged then you should replace the part. Good luck!
