Friction pads provide stability to the screen and ***reduce wobbling*** to a great extent. Installing a friction pad at the hinges will allow the screen to open and close smoothly.
However, just remember that this is a temporary fix. A friction pad attached to hinges will not suffice in the ***long run***. Therefore, you’ll have to find an alternative repair method or replace the hinge sooner or later.
