-Can you be heard OK when using the phone n loudspeaker mode when on a call?

Is the phone in a protective case at all? If so remove from the case and check if it now works OK.
Try using a vacuum cleaner to clear the voice inlet hole located on the bottom edge of the phone in case it is blocked with lint etc, and check.

+If still no good it may be the microphone in the phone.
