Screen is enabling tablet mode at the wrong screen angles

I recently replaced a cracked screen on my Ideapad Flex 5. Since that replacement, I am having an issue where the laptop indicates that it is switching to touchscreen only mode at the wrong screen angles. Often I will see the indicator that the touchpad and keyboard are disabled if the screen goes even remotely past 90 degrees, sometimes even sooner. If I push the screen past 180 degrees and then pull it back, it will re-engage the touchpad and keyboard.

My guess is that this is an issue with whichever sensor is responsible for determining the angle of the screen at any given time, but I am having difficulty isolating this device.

I have seen a few others with this issue around the internet but have yet to see a fix. Is anyone here aware of how to handle this?
