unfortunately google play services has stopped on Moto G2 phone

I can't get rid of the above message about google play, so I can't do all the fixes that our out there on the internet. When I press the ok on the error notification, the message disappears for about 1 second then reappears. So I am in an endless loop of being able to do almost nothing. There is also a message that 'storage space is running out, some systems won't work' but again I can delete anything because I can't get rid of the google play error message.
I tried taking out the sim and memory card, but that made no difference.
