Hi @jen42813

Does the phone vibrate when you first turn the phone on from the off position?

***''If it vibrates when the phone is first turned on:''***

Try starting the phone in [https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/safe-mode-on-samsung-phones/|safe mode] and check if the vibrate motor works OK or not.

''If it works OK in safe mode'' then a ''downloaded app'' may be the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one. You will need to uninstall each ''downloaded app'', one by one, and test the phone in normal mode between each uninstall to see if it works OK or not. When it does the last downloaded app was the culprit. A ''downloaded app'' is one that you downloaded and installed on the phone and wasn't pre-installed on the phone when you got it.

***''If it doesn't vibrate when the phone is first turned on or not in safe mode either:''***

The phone will have to be opened, inspected and tested as to what the problem may be.

Here are some images taken from the Galaxy A70 service manual that show the vibrate motor troubleshooting flowchart and also the location of the components mentioned by the flowchart. In the first of the images showing the component location, the image on the left is a zoomed in image to better show the component, the image on the right is an overall shot of the board to give an idea of their location on the board.

In the last image posted, the right hand image, taken from Step.15 of the ifixit [guide|144481] guide, shows the vibrate motor.

If it is determined that the vibrate motor is the problem the part number is GH31-00746A. Search online using the ''part number only,'' to find suppliers that suit you best.
