Fixing a hinge almost always means a reshell. As for the screen, if you know the new one works i'd suspect a bad connector. Inspect all the pins for any that look bent or out of place, and ***gently*** try to wiggle the outside ones to check that the solder joints are solid. If you find any that aren't, they'll need to be re-flowed
