@truckerfred, the first thing to do is figure out which of the three components is the problem; the PS5, the HDMI cable, or the TV itself.

For the TV, try moving the HDMI cable to a different plug, and also try plugging something else into the port that was being used. If a different source works, then the TV is okay. If a different plug works, then there may be a problem with that particular HDMI port.

Check the HDMI cable by swapping it out for a different one.

Preferably using a different cable, try plugging the PS5 into a different TV.

Once you know which of those three pieces is causing the issue, then you can proceed with more troubleshooting.
