I've recently bought the Y50-70 Touch for pennies but it requires replacing the screen. I've done some research and I've already disassembled the broken screen, right now I'm stuck with picking out the compatible screen mostly because I'm a bit confused about a few things.
Could someone explain to me why there are 2 different types/models of this laptop where one has a 30 pin connector and the other has a 40 pin connector? (I've got the 40 pin one.)
Also I was confused about the resolution as I see that there are UHD screens and FHD ones, I was thinking with going for the UHD but I'm not sure where I could make sure if my model is compatible with that resolution.
About the touch/non-touch functionality... So I know there's 2 options either getting a touch screen or a non-touch screen but would also need a non-touch Bezel and a non-touch LCD cable which I don't really care about the touch functions but the prices seem similar between the 2 screens when you add the required cable and bezel for non touch screen so I'm fine going with whatever.
