Display backlight partially not working

Hi there,

I was lent this computer for repair. Works OK, but the lower right hand corner of the display isn't working properly

. I suspect backlight malfunction, but even if the diagnosis is easy, the repair may not be.

Has anyone tried to take apart the display assembly?
