Hello, if you reset your phone through the recovery menu (Volume Up + Power + Home) then it may have triggered the Factory Reset Protection, you will need to log in with the google account you previously used on the phone. If you no longer have access to that account, you may be able to bypass it but it can be quite tricky to do, especially on newer phones.
