I reached out to iFixIt support for replacing the lightning port on my Magic Keyboard with numeric keypad (A1843). I have a broken gold pin on it so it won’t charge when plugged in. IFixit says they don’t sell replacement ports and I’ve had a hard time sourcing it on Amazon, EBay, etc.
Has anyone been able to replace the port on these and found where they can be bought? IFixIt has a tear down that looks helpful in getting to the port, but comments from users suggest it may be incomplete and have broken their keyboards in the process. [guide|50995]
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I would hate to throw it out for a broken port!
