Looking at the [https://f01.justanswer.com/woody463/6db047a7-60b2-41e1-bf41-23fb8aa4eddf_MEDX655DW1_WiringSheet-W10185993-RevM.pdf|wiring diagram] for the dryer it could be that the timer is faulty, maybe check if timer contacts B - C are closed as these affect both the motor and the heater circuit.
