@techblowhead I'd suggest that you do not try to solder on the battery etc. The specs for the battery may not be what your original battery would use. Remember that these are smart batteries. They use a controller board that enables the battery to actually communicate in a two-way fashion. I am sure that all of that could be overcome, but since batteries for your phone are still readily available, I would not take a chance of a battery to overcharge/undercharge etc. based on replacing a connector etc. That may have some disastrous results for your phone.
