Here are some ideas to try:
* Check voltage on CMOS battery. New they are 3VDC.
* Try disconnecting components - main battery, drives, WiFi card, etc. also one RAM module at a time. Plug in charger and press power button. Does it turn on go into BIOS settings? If yes then one of the components is shorted or defective.
