My question before I buy a new cable is: I just get a replacement battery for my MacBook Pro A1708. When putting the machine back together I noticed I have misplaced my battery daughter board cable. ( the small one over the battery connector )

What function do this cable have? Symptoms on the Mac is not detecting the new battery. Is that related to this cable ?[br]
