You said it was stuck at android screen, that sound a lot like a boot loop. Sadly there are multiple reasons for a cellphone to do a bootloop, the easiest repair you can do is to unplug components one by one and seeing if the phone fully starts.

When your phone boots up, it check every component (camera, microphone, speakers, etc..) if they are there or not. If one of your components is damaged it sometimes wont be able to tell if its actually there or not and will reboot and check again. I would recommend disconnecting a component, try to start the phone and if it loops, you reconnect that component and do another. It's not a perfect method but it will tell you if there is something else than the battery that needs repair. Of course remember to always disconnect the battery first.
