Not quite sure bit I think that your model is nearly the same as the Bosch 800 series dishwasher.

The door switch doesn't control the power to the dishwasher, it is used to signal the control board that the door is either open or shut so that the dishwashing action can either commence/recommence or be stopped by the control board.
