* Power off the laptop.
* Your laptops  battery is "integrated" so don't do anything with that.
* Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
* Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
* Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter. Try connecting the charger to a good known wall outlet.
* See if you can Power ON the laptop.

It does sound like your AC Adapter could be the issue here. Let's start with that.  Check the power cord to the charger with a meter for continuity. They do like to fail. Check the output of your AC adapter by inserting the red probe into the barrel connector and the black probe on the outside. your meter should be set to DC voltage and show something like 19.5V. LEt us know what you find out.
