When the drive is beeping, that means there is a power issue or it's at the end of it's life. There's some troubleshooting that can be done to see if it's just a power issue

#  (The easiest) Disconnect the drive and unplug the cable from the disk and spray out all the ports. There might be some dust

# Try another cable. Some cables are better with power and data connection then others

Otherwise, you can run SeaTools. It's a software made by Seagate that diagnoses drives. [link|https://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/seatools/|You can download it here|new_window=true] and you should be able to run a test on your drive to see if there is any corrupted data or see the hard drive's life
