It took some digging, though I would confirm the exact model number before you take my research for certain, but based on some cross referencing between the [link|https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_gaming3_hmm_v1.1.pdf|Lenovo Service Manual|new_window=true] and the [link|https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/partslookup|parts lookup site|new_window=true] it looks like it takes an m.2 PCIe 2242 type drive.[br]

As for which side of the board it's on, even the Service manual doesn't specifysince I suspect there is some variance in configurations and 2242 is fairly small, though I would wager based on the images in the guide, it's on the right side if you're looking at the bottom of laptop, with the hinge facing up.
