i just had my MBP 2019 16 inch repaired from an authorised repairer, free of charge as it's covered by Apple, I am glad about this and I think Apple should do this as I 100 percent sure it's a design flaw or hardware defect, nothing to do with the user. It s quite disappointing that Apple didn't test their product properly like open and close the lid many times. I purchased it in 2020 March and failed at only after 2.5 year is ridiculous, I have a MBP 2013 and still going good. Now I am not sure if I should sell it because it may only last about 2 years time and will fail with the same reason, or should I just don't open can close the lid too often?

**It should be because NZ consumer law force Apple to cover this issue.
