Why is my Sienna 2007 engine running high at parking position

When i start my car, while on Park & the engine is running or steaming, it will shoot up to 2 instead of the 1 that it usually stops & this is too high for the engine. Then when I engage Drive or Reverse, it will come down to 1. Pl what can I do to bring down the engine running to 1 when it is on park
