Okay I had this workaround since the music player trick also stopped working. [br]
[br]
I'm not sure what's really at fault but mine went back to normal when I did this, after hours of being frustrated because I can no longer use my lightning earphones.[br]
[br]
1. iPhone will turn off once lightning connector is plugged.
# Phone will turn on once lightning connector is unplugged. Apple logo will come out.
# Count to SEVEN and plug the lightning connector back, waiting until the iPhone finishes its boot-up process.
# Once your lock screen flashes, you can now use your lightning connectors normally.[br]
[br]
Repeat if it fails.[br]
[br]
I'm really not sure why it works, but apparently, the issue returns if I swiftly remove the lightning connector. I repeated the process above and again, iPhone goes back to working normally.[br]

I suspect this is really some bug.[br]
