There's a gap on the front side of you top case cause you reinstall it as it should be. When putting back the top case you must begin the job by inserting the top case front side first and apply pressure to snap it in the bottom case clips. Before clipping the front top case insert something flat that will fill the optical drive slot gap to avoid the slot deformation when applying pressure to it. Since you'll have to take off the top case and reinstall it check inside the machine if it's possible to push the screw stuck inside the DVI hole.
