My laptop is not starting up. I went to the genius bar - they're saying my logic board has to be replaced and the SSD cannot be taken out and hence the data is lost. But on iFixit and all over the internet, it's mentioned that I can remove it and backup the data using [product|IF107-154|the enclosure|new_window=true]

Is there a reason why I was told so by the genius bar? How do I figure out if that enclosure would work for my SSD? I'm not sure how to use the information below mentioned on the ifixit product page and ensure that the enclosure would be compatible with my SSD:
"Please check what type of PCIe SSD is installed in your Mac before purchasing this enclosure. Apple NVMe SSDs, and AHCI SSDs made by Samsung (models from 2015 or later), while physically compatible with the enclosure are not supported."
