Based on the microwave repairs I've done in the past, you generally have to take off the inner panel of the door in order to remove it from the cabinet. According to an article on husker.com, GE Profile microwave doors do come off easily once you have the inner panel off. Supposedly you just have to insert a thin blade and pop the catches around the outside of the panel and it should just pull off. Once it's out, that frees up the hinges to simply lift up and come off.

+If it doesn't pry off fairly easily, look closely for screws holding it on; they may be hidden under plastic plugs or not.
