It's almost like screen burn in but you'd think that it would be noticeable when testing solid colours as well.
Maybe try a different resolution (frequency refresh rate <144Hz) and check.

If the monitor is no longer covered by the warranty you may have to open it up and check for anything obvious on the control board, although I think that it's more likely to be a the LED drivers in the panel, which are internal to the panel
