As @fpfp has said lithium battery’s or just battery’s in general are very very dangerous so here’s what I would do
I recommend leaving it in a safe place where nothing can catch fire for 24-48hours to let the battery somewhat stabilise as once something like this happens anything can happen from here going on
I would take it to a authorised repair shop to have the battery removed safely and replace it with a high quality one that way you can better protect your device from damage:-)
