rockybrett, here is my answer from another question "I believe that the EVO 4G uses a standard micro USB connector. The pinout is as follows

Pin Name Description

1 VCC +5 VDC

2 D- Data -

3 D+ Data +

x This pin may be connected to GND for cable detection.

4 GND Ground

Pin 1 is the far left when you look straight on. So pin 1 and pin 5 would be my choice to charge. " Use these guides to get to your logic board http://www.ifixit.com/Device/HTC_Evo_4G#deviceGuides and the port is available at places [http://www.amazon.com/Charge-Micro-HTC-Supersonic-PC36100/dp/B005OCM12Y|like this.] There are a couple decent videos on youtube, [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCz4_MjLNhw&feature=related|like this,] that may help you to determine if you are up to it. Hope this helps, good luck.
