Replacing Logic Board Myself Possible?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hi Everyone,

To make a long story short I need to replace my logic board in my MacBook Pro(Processor 065-8806 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo). I have 2 questions:

1. I have a fair bit of experience replacing parts in computers so could I replace the board myself?

2. I cannot find the exact model number (065-8806) of the board but have found some similar boards (same speed, different model number). Can I use a different model number or do I have to fine the exact same one?

3. Can I put in another logic board with a slower processor?

Thanks for the info everyone!

-Dan
